Job Title: Senior Chef de Partie - Bakery

Reports to: Head Baker / Sous Chef

Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Chef de Partie (Bakery) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in artisan bread, pastries, and desserts, a passion for creativity, and strong leadership skills. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the production of high-quality baked goods while supervising and mentoring junior staff.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Bakery Operations:

  • Prepare and produce high-quality bread, pastries, and baked items according to recipes and standards.
  • Ensure consistency, taste, and presentation in all bakery products.

2. Leadership & Supervision:

  • Lead, train, and mentor junior staff, ensuring adherence to best practices and techniques.
  • Assist the Head Baker/Sous Chef in managing daily bakery operations and delegating tasks effectively.

3. Inventory & Stock Control:

  • Monitor ingredient levels and assist in maintaining inventory, minimizing waste, and controlling costs.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of raw materials and finished products.

4. Health & Safety:

  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.

5. Creativity & Development:

  • Contribute to new recipe development and seasonal menu planning.
  • Stay updated on industry trends to introduce innovative baked products.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in a bakery environment.
  • Strong knowledge of baking techniques, dough handling, and dessert preparation.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Leadership ability with a focus on team development and motivation.
  • Formal culinary or bakery training is preferred.
