Job Title: Chemical Engineer

Location: UAE (Umm Al Quwain)/India

Job Summary:

The Chemical Engineer will oversee the production, formulation, and quality control of chemical products in the company. The role includes preparing samples, developing new product formulations, supervising batch production, conducting testing of raw materials and finished products, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent quality and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare samples and pilot batches for new product development and quality verification.
• Manage production and formulation of chemical products, including adhesives, coatings, and resins for sports flooring.
• Supervise batch production and in-process testing to ensure consistent quality.
• Conduct sampling, testing, and approval of incoming raw materials and in-process materials.
• Confirm product specifications, perform visual and analytical tests, and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Investigate and document customer complaints, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Purchase and Inventory Teams for timely material availability.
• Report any quality deviations or production issues and resolve the issues.
• Support R&D for new product development and continuous improvement of existing products.
• Perform color matching, formulation optimization, and product standardization.
• Maintain and report KPI metrics related to production efficiency, quality, and output.
• Ensure safety, compliance, and waste management procedures in chemical handling and production.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory and production instruments.
• Analyze production and testing data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
• Manufacturing layout planning and workflow optimization.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education: B.Tech in Chemical Engineering or equivalent degree in Chemistry or Process Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum 3-4 years in chemical manufacturing, preferably in coatings, adhesives, polyurethane, water-based paints, flooring resins, or polymer-based products, ideally for sports flooring applications.
• Technical Skills:
• Expertise in chemical formulation, sample preparation, testing, and quality control.
• Experience with R&D, color matching, and batch consistency.
• Familiarity with analytical testing methods and laboratory instrumentation.
• Other Requirements:
• Knowledge of UAE chemical safety regulations and industrial hygiene standards.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work across multiple locations (UAE & India).
• Proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and documentation.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment with attention to quality and safety.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED5,500.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
