A Chemical Hygiene Trainer (Hygienist) is responsible for delivering training and guidance to clients on the safe handling, use, storage, and disposal of chemicals. The role ensures client personnel understand chemical hazards, hygiene standards, and regulatory compliance to maintain a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver chemical hygiene and safety training to clients (classroom and site-based)
- Explain chemical hazards, labeling, and Safety Data Sheets (SDS/MSDS)
- Train clients on safe chemical handling, mixing, storage, and disposal procedures
- Demonstrate correct use of PPE and emergency equipment
- Conduct chemical risk assessments and hazard identification exercises
- Educate clients on spill response, first aid, and emergency procedures
- Ensure client compliance with HSE and local regulatory requirements
- Evaluate trainee understanding through assessments and feedback
- Prepare training materials, presentations, and attendance records
- Provide post-training support and safety recommendations to clients
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of industrial chemicals and hygiene practices

- Ability to explain technical information clearly to non-technical staff

Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or related field
- Certified chemical safety or HSE trainer (preferred)
- Experience in chemical handling, cleaning, or industrial operations
- Knowledge of OSHA / NEBOSH / IOSH standards (advantage)
Training Environment
- Client sites, training centers, and industrial facilities
- May include hands-on demonstrations and practical sessions
- Valid UAE (Dubai) Driving License – Mandatory
