Chemical industry

Experience: Minimum 1 year as Shift In-Charge in a process/chemical plant (sulphuric acid plant experience preferred)

Job Description (Short):

• Monitor, control, and optimize sulphuric acid plant operations during assigned shifts.
• Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Supervise shift operators and coordinate with maintenance and utility teams.
• Handle start-up, shutdown, and emergency procedures of process equipment (DCDA/Converter, Absorption towers, Boilers, etc.).
• Maintain shift logs, process parameters, and production reports.
• Troubleshoot process issues and escalate critical problems to senior engineers/management.
• Ensure proper handling of chemicals, PPE usage, and compliance with safety protocols.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives for efficiency and cost reduction.
