Position Summary

We’re looking for a hands-on, detail-driven Chemical Lab Technician to support the critical chemical processes that ensure the quality, performance, and compliance of our plated and powder-coated products. In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our finishing operations—monitoring chemistry, fine-tuning processes, supporting production, and helping us meet demanding industry standards.

What You’ll Do

• Maintain Accurate Chemistry Metrics
• Perform daily chemical testing of Plating tanks and Powder Coat wash lines
• Maintain detailed in-house testing records and analyze data for trends
• Track and review third-party laboratory results
• Ensure all testing aligns with internal quality and customer requirements
• Ensure Proper Tank Chemistry
• Analyze test results and adjust chemical concentrations to maintain optimal tank performance
• Schedule, perform, and document test coupons and samples for MIL-DTL-5541 and NADCAP-related requirements
• Proactively identify chemistry issues before they impact production
• Provide Technical & Process Support
• Provide technical support and training to production teams on Plating, wash line, bonding, and solvent processes
• Maintain technical specifications for chemicals and processes
• Partner with the Plating and Paint Supervisors to improve waste management and reduce environmental impact
• Drive Continuous Improvement
• Follow established best practices while actively recommending improvements
• Support compliance with ISO / AS9100 quality standards
• Contribute to Accra-Fab’s Mission, Vision, and Values
• Champion continuous rapid improvement across the organization

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Knowledge of laboratory chemical testing standards
• Understanding of Quality Control requirements in a manufacturing environment
• Strong basic math skills
• High attention to detail and excellent documentation habits

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to read mechanical blueprints
• Prior experience in sheet metal manufacturing
• Experience with plating and surface finishing processes
• Familiarity with Powder Coating wash lines
• Experience working under ISO / AS9100 or NADCAP-influenced environments

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
