Chemical Lab Technician (3rd Shift)

SAT Plating is seeking a Chemical Lab Technician to support our electroplating operations on 3rd shift. This position serves as the primary chemistry resource during the overnight shift and is responsible for maintaining critical production plating baths through chemical testing, analysis, and chemical adds.

The ideal candidate has hands-on laboratory or industrial chemistry experience, strong attention to detail, and enjoys working independently in a manufacturing environment. Experience in electroplating is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate with a chemistry, laboratory, water treatment, or industrial process background.

U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Residency is required.

Schedule:

• 3rd Shift: 10:30 PM – 7:00 AM
• Monday – Friday (shift begins Sunday night)
• Full-time, 40 hours per week
• Initial training may occur on 1st Shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)

Pay:

• $22.00 – $26.00 per hour, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine chemical titrations and laboratory analysis of electroplating process solutions
• Calculate and make chemical additions to plating baths to maintain operating parameters
• Monitor plating bath chemistry and identify trends or out-of-specification conditions
• Collect and analyze samples using established laboratory procedures
• Maintain accurate chemical records, logs, and process documentation
• Troubleshoot chemistry-related process issues
• Monitor and support wastewater treatment operations as needed
• Monitor pumps, filters, tanks, and related process equipment, as needed
• Safely handle industrial chemicals in accordance with company procedures and safety requirements
• Maintain laboratory cleanliness, organization, and inventory of chemicals and testing supplies
• Coordinate with production personnel to ensure plating processes remain in control throughout the shift

Qualifications:

• Previous experience performing laboratory titrations, chemical testing, process control analysis, or industrial chemistry work
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Reliable attendance and dependability
• Comfortable performing basic math, chemical calculations, and concentration calculations
• Ability to accurately follow written procedures and maintain detailed records
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability preferred

Education:

• Associate degree, technical degree, coursework, or equivalent experience in Chemistry, Chemical Technology, Environmental Science, Biology, Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred
