Role Description

We are looking for a dedicated Chemical Mixer to join our team.. In this full-time role, you will safely and efficiently measure, mix, and prepare chemicals according to precise specifications while following established safety protocols. Your primary responsibilities will include measuring and mixing flammable chemicals for lacquer thinner production, operating a filling machine, and maintaining high-quality control throughout the mixing and dispensing processes.

Key Responsibilities

Mix flammable chemicals in compliance with safety regulations and company standards. Monitor equipment and processes, maintaining operational safety and efficiency. Clean and maintain mixing equipment in a safe and orderly manner. Collaborate with team members to meet production goals efficiently. Operate forklifts safely to transport materials within the facility. Manage the operation of double diaphragm pumps and work with 2-inch hoses for transferring chemicals. Off-load chemical tanker trucks while adhering to safety protocols. Operate a filling machine that fills gallons, 5 gallon pails and 55 gallon drums. Palletizing of one gallon cans, 5 gallons pails, and 55 gallon drums Maintain accurate records of mixing processes and inventory levels. Conduct general maintenance on equipment and work areas to ensure a safe and clean environment.

Qualifications

Experience in chemical mixing, blending, or handling hazardous materials safely Mix flammable chemicals in compliance with safety regulations and company standards. Basic math skills for precise measurement and mixing tasks Ability to operate and maintain industrial equipment used in the mixing process Maintain accurate records of mixing processes and inventory levels. Proven experience in chemical mixing or a related field is preferred. Conduct general maintenance on equipment and work areas to ensure a safe and clean environment. Strong team collaboration and communication skills Physical ability to lift, carry, and move materials as required Operate forklift safely to transport materials within the facility. Manage the operation of double diaphragm pumps and work with 2-inch hoses for transferring chemicals. Off-load chemical tanker trucks while adhering to safety protocols. Strong mechanical aptitude and general maintenance skills. Ability to work outdoors and meet the physical demands of the job. Previous experience in a manufacturing or chemical processing environment is a plus

Pay: From $18.50 per hour
