Chemist

Integrus Solutions is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Chemist to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in analytical chemistry techniques, including GC Mass-Spec, titrations, and color tests, as well as hands-on experience with bench testing and GC analytical testing. The role involves ensuring product quality, regulatory compliance, and efficient process management. Prior experience in CASE (coatings, adhesives, sealants, and elastomers) is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

Analytical Testing and Quality Control:

Conduct GC Mass-Spec analysis, titrations, color tests, and other bench-testing procedures to ensure product quality and consistency.

Perform GC analytical testing and generate accurate data for Certificate of Analysis (COA) creation.

Product Formulation and Development:

Develop and optimize chemical formulations tailored to client needs, with a focus on CASE (coatings, adhesives, sealants, and elastomers).

Collaborate with R&D and production teams to scale up formulations from lab to production.

Regulatory Compliance and Safety:

Ensure all products and processes meet regulatory requirements, including OSHA, EPA, and industry-specific standards.

Act as a safety manager, promoting a safe working environment and compliance with chemical handling protocols.

Documentation and Reporting:

Create and maintain detailed documentation, including COAs, test results, and formulation records.

Communicate findings, process improvements, and quality metrics to stakeholders.

Process Optimization and Troubleshooting:

Identify and resolve issues related to production processes, product performance, and analytical results.

Continuously improve processes for enhanced efficiency and reduced variability.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum 5+ years of experience in chemical blending, formulation, or related fields.

Expertise in GC Mass-Spec, titrations, color tests, bench testing, and GC analytical testing.

Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, safety management, and COA creation.

Familiarity with CASE (coatings, adhesives, sealants, and elastomers) is highly preferred.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.

Proficiency in maintaining documentation and adhering to quality systems.

Strong communication and teamwork abilities in a fast-paced environment.
