Job Title: FMCG Formulation Costing & Purchasing Chemist

This is not a lab position. You will be working from home.

Snowberry.kr brings about 25 personal care products to the US and EU mass market each month. Products fall within the skincare, haircare and bath/body categories.

Job description:

• You will be responsible for sourcing ingredients for haircare, skincare, facial care and bath/body products manufacturing in our Korea facility.
• You will ensure that we have sufficient stock levels for ingredients which we stock.
• You will break down formulation costs given by our 3rd party manufacturers and give us the net raw ingredients cost as purchased in the open market to ensure we are receiving the best formulation for the particular budget.
• With your extensive experience in formulations and costing, you will suggest replacement ingredients while maintaining the products current efficacy.
• You will scrutinize pricing and quotes given by 3rd party manufacturers to ensure our clients are receiving the best formulations for the price they are paying.
• You will scrutinize our 3rd party manufacturers ingredient sources to ensure we are getting the best ingredients the particular budget.
• You will define and set ingredient and cost specifications for new or reformulated products.
• You will maintain strict attention to detail and accurate documentation record-keeping.
• You will critically assess timelines with 3rd party manufacturers to ensure company goals and datelines are maintained for product delivery.
• You will evaluate 3rd party manufactures capacities, capabilities, strengths, and weaknesses.
• You will expand our 3rd party manufacturers pool to improve costing, efficiency and speed to market.
• Other tasks as required per business needs.

Requirements:

• Experienced in purchasing raw ingredients for cosmetics & FMCG.
• Experienced in formulating FMCG.
• Have a proven history in formulation cost cutting.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Excellent negotiation skills.
• Ability to work on multiple projects and at a fast pace.
• Have a Bachelors or Master’s degree in chemistry, Cosmetic Sciences, Formulation Technology or M/B Tech in Cosmetics Technology.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
