Chemistry and Biology Teacher

Position Overview:

Unique High is seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and student-centered Chemistry and Biology teacher to teach students in grades 6–10. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both biology and chemistry, experience working with adolescents, and a passion for fostering scientific curiosity and academic excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons in Chemistry and Biology for middle and high school students.
• Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to the developmental level of students.
• Use a variety of instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of learners.
• Assess student progress regularly and use data to guide instruction.
• Prepare students for standardized assessments and internal evaluations.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of students’ academic performance and behavior.
• Integrate lab-based activities, inquiry learning, and technology to deepen student understanding.
• Supervise students during science labs, ensuring safety protocols are strictly followed.
• Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary initiatives and curriculum development.
• Communicate regularly with students, parents, and school staff regarding student progress and classroom activities.
• Participate in school events, professional development, and faculty meetings.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Science Education, or a related field.
• B.Ed or M.Ed
