CHEMISTRY PGT

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging chemistry lessons for students in grades 9 through 12, aligning with the school's curriculum and educational standards.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation, critical thinking, and a love for science.
• Plan, prepare, and conduct hands-on laboratory experiments and demonstrations to reinforce theoretical concepts.
• Assess student performance through a variety of methods, including tests, quizzes, lab reports, and projects, and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate and timely records of student grades, attendance, and progress.
• Collaborate with other science department faculty to develop and improve the curriculum and share best practices.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding academic progress and student well-being.
• Participate in professional development opportunities and school-wide events, such as parent-teacher meetings and extracurricular activities.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry or a related field.
• A Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree is mandatory.
• Proven experience teaching chemistry at the high school level is preferred.
• Excellent communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills.
• A strong passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering a lifelong love of learning in students.
• Familiarity with modern teaching technologies and lab equipment.
