Job Description:

  • Deep understanding of chemistry (physical, organic, inorganic) so they can explain concepts, answer advanced questions, and connect different topics.
  • Good grasp of the CBSE syllabus (class-specific topics, exam patterns), including changes in curriculum or assessment style.
  • Ability to explain complex ideas in simple, clear, and student-friendly language.
  • Use of analogies, visual aids, and examples (real-world application) to make abstract chemistry topics more tangible.
  • Active listening: being open to students’ doubts, questions, and feedback.
  • Recognizes that students learn at different paces; doesn’t rush through topics.
  • Compassionate when students struggle; willing to repeat and re-explain without getting frustrated.
  • Genuine love for chemistry: a teacher who is passionate tends to make classes more interesting and inspiring.
  • Enthusiasm helps in motivating students, especially for difficult or “scary” topics.
  • Well-structured lesson plans that logically build from basics to advanced.
  • Keeps track of students’ progress, assignments, labs, and assessments.
  • Prepares class materials in advance (notes, lab exercises, demonstrations).
  • Regularly assesses student understanding through quizzes, tests, homework.
  • Gives constructive feedback — not just marks, but guidance on how to improve.
