We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Chemistry Teacher to join our team at Dr. Pillai Global Academy, New Panvel. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching chemistry, a strong understanding of scientific principles, and the ability to engage students in a dynamic learning environment. The Chemistry Teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, developing and implementing curriculum, and fostering a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
- Instruction and Curriculum Delivery:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum and educational standards.
- Teach chemistry concepts including organic, inorganic, physical, and analytical chemistry.
- Utilize a variety of instructional techniques and resources to accommodate different learning styles and needs.
- Student Assessment and Evaluation:
- Assess and evaluate student performance through tests, assignments, and laboratory work.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their academic growth.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and performance.
- Classroom Management:
- Create and maintain a positive, respectful, and productive classroom environment.
- Manage classroom behavior and address any issues in accordance with school policies.
- Laboratory Supervision:
- Oversee and conduct laboratory experiments and practicals, ensuring a safe and effective learning environment.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and materials, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Professional Development:
- Stay current with developments in chemistry and education through professional development opportunities.
- Participate in faculty meetings, workshops, and school events.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and students to support student success and school initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and any concerns.
- Additional Duties:
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of Department or Principal.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Education, or a related field. A Master’s degree or higher is preferred.
- Experience:
- Previous experience teaching chemistry at the [middle/high school] level is preferred.
- Experience with diverse student populations and differentiated instruction is a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of chemistry concepts and laboratory techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create an engaging and supportive learning environment.
- Proficiency in using technology and educational tools to enhance instruction.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
