Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging chess lessons tailored to students’ skill levels, from beginners to advanced players
• Foster a fun, respectful, and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages learning and participation
• Develop customized lesson plans that incorporate fundamental chess strategies, tactics, and rules
• Manage classroom dynamics effectively, ensuring all students remain focused and motivated
• Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support improvement
• Organize friendly competitions or tournaments to enhance practical skills and build confidence
• Communicate clearly with students and parents about lesson goals, progress, and upcoming activities

Experience

• Proven experience teaching or tutoring students in a classroom or one-on-one setting
• Strong knowledge of chess rules, strategies, and tactics suitable for various age groups
• Experience managing classroom environments or group activities with diverse learners
• Excellent communication skills to explain complex concepts in an understandable way
• Background in adult education or childcare is a plus but not required
• Prior experience working with children or students with different learning styles is highly valued
• Passion for mentoring and inspiring learners of all ages through engaging instruction

Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
