Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging chess lessons tailored to students’ skill levels, from beginners to advanced players
- Foster a fun, respectful, and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages learning and participation
- Develop customized lesson plans that incorporate fundamental chess strategies, tactics, and rules
- Manage classroom dynamics effectively, ensuring all students remain focused and motivated
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support improvement
- Organize friendly competitions or tournaments to enhance practical skills and build confidence
- Communicate clearly with students and parents about lesson goals, progress, and upcoming activities
Experience
- Proven experience teaching or tutoring students in a classroom or one-on-one setting
- Strong knowledge of chess rules, strategies, and tactics suitable for various age groups
- Experience managing classroom environments or group activities with diverse learners
- Excellent communication skills to explain complex concepts in an understandable way
- Background in adult education or childcare is a plus but not required
- Prior experience working with children or students with different learning styles is highly valued
- Passion for mentoring and inspiring learners of all ages through engaging instruction
