CHHA Instructor (RN)

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) Instructor with a Registered Nurse (RN) license to lead and facilitate comprehensive training programs for aspiring home health aides. In this vital role, you will leverage your extensive clinical experience to educate, mentor, and prepare future caregivers for the demanding yet rewarding field of home care. Duties

• Develop, plan, and deliver engaging instructional sessions on patient care techniques, medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and HIPAA compliance
• Evaluate trainee progress through assessments, practical demonstrations, and written examinations to ensure competency in core skills
• Provide hands-on supervision during clinical practice scenarios in simulated or real-world settings such as nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and records of trainee attendance, performance evaluations, and competency milestones
• Stay current with evolving healthcare regulations and best practices to continuously update training materials and ensure compliance with industry standards
• Foster a positive learning environment that encourages questions, critical thinking, and professional growth among trainees
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to identify training needs and tailor educational content accordingly

Requirements

• Valid RN license with current registration in good standing
• At least 6 months experience supervising CHHAs
• Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and patient care procedures
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards
• Prior experience in training & development or adult education is preferred
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and effectively
