Chief Accountant

Urgently need a chief accountant in Muscat Oman.

• Oversee daily accounting activities general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable.
• Monitor cash flow, budgets, and financial controls
• Prepare and review financial statements and management reports.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
• Supervise accounting staff.
• Reconcile bank, vendor, and customers’ accounts.
• Assist management with financial analysis and decision-making.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Coordinate audits with internal and external auditors.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Fluent in Arabic or English with a valid residential status in Oman

Typical Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA are often preferred.
• 8-10 years of accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities in a trading company.
