Chief Accountant – Civil Construction (10+ Years UAE Experience)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Chief Accountant with a strong background in the civil construction industry and over 10 years of UAE experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company’s financial operations, with a focus on project-based accounting within construction.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations including GL, AP, AR, and payroll
• Manage financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
• Handle project accounting for civil construction projects
• Monitor cash flow, cost control, and project profitability
• Ensure compliance with UAE financial regulations and VAT
• Coordinate with auditors and manage audits
• Lead and supervise the accounting team

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance
• Minimum 10+ years of UAE experience
• ✅ Mandatory: Proven experience in civil construction industry
• Strong knowledge of project accounting and cost control
• Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle ERP
• Experience in VAT filing and financial compliance
• Strong leadership and analytical skills
