Chief Accountant / Senior Accountant

We are looking for a Chief Accountant / Senior Accountant with strong experience in the construction and joinery industry, particularly in job costing and project costing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial operations, ensuring accurate cost tracking, and supporting project profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee daily accounting operations
• Handle job costing and project costing for ongoing projects
• Monitor project budgets, costs, and profitability
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Ensure proper allocation of costs to respective projects
• Reconcile accounts, general ledger, and bank statements
• Coordinate with project managers for cost control and financial planning
• Ensure compliance with UAE financial regulations and company policies
• Manage accounts payable, receivable, and payroll processes
• Assist in audits and prepare required documentation
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to management

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Proven experience in construction / joinery industry (mandatory)
• Strong knowledge of job costing and project costing
• Driving license (Mandatory)
• Minimum experience:
• Chief Accountant: 7–10 years
• Senior Accountant: 4–6 years
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional certification such as ACCA / CPA / CMA
• Experience working in UAE-based companies
• Knowledge of ERP systems
