Job Purpose

The Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) is responsible for driving the company’s advertising sales, sponsorship revenue, and commercial growth across all media platforms for Giza Zoo and El Qalaa El Hamraa . The role leads the development and execution of integrated sales and sponsorship strategies, builds long-term partnerships with advertisers and agencies, and ensures sustainable revenue growth while protecting the brand’s integrity and market position.


Key Responsibilities

Commercial Strategy & Revenue Growth

  • Develop and execute the overall commercial strategy with a strong focus on advertising sales and sponsorship revenue
  • Drive revenue growth across traditional and digital media platforms
  • Identify and develop new commercial opportunities, sponsorship formats, and monetization models
  • Align commercial objectives with corporate and brand strategy


Advertising Sales Leadership

  • Lead national and regional advertising sales operations
  • Set sales targets, pricing strategies, rate cards, and discount frameworks
  • Oversee agency sales, direct sales, and key account management
  • Ensure optimal utilization of media inventory and premium assets


Sponsorship & Brand Partnerships

  • Conceptualize and deliver high-value sponsorship and brand partnership opportunities
  • Lead negotiations for title sponsorships, associate sponsorships, and exclusive partnerships
  • Develop integrated sponsorship packages combining on-air, digital, social, events, and experiential media
  • Ensure sponsors receive measurable value, visibility, and return on investment


Integrated Commercial Solutions

  • Drive cross-platform commercial offerings including branded content, product placement, and co-created campaigns
  • Collaborate closely with editorial, content, production, and marketing teams
  • Ensure all sponsorship integrations are brand-safe, compliant, and aligned with editorial standards


Sales Operations & Performance Management

  • Oversee revenue forecasting, budgeting, and commercial performance tracking
  • Monitor sales pipelines, CRM systems, and deal conversion
  • Establish KPIs, commission structures, and incentive programs for sales teams
  • Analyze performance data and implement corrective actions where required


Key Account & Agency Management

  • Build and maintain senior-level relationships with key advertisers, sponsors, and media agencies
  • Personally manage strategic accounts and high-value commercial negotiations
  • Represent the organization at industry events, forums, and client engagements


Market Development & Innovation

  • Identify new advertiser categories, sponsorship sectors, and growth markets
  • Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and emerging sponsorship models
  • Lead innovation in commercial packaging and sales approaches


Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure compliance with advertising regulations, sponsorship guidelines, and contractual obligations
  • Protect the organization’s brand reputation and editorial independence
  • Approve sponsorship partnerships in line with corporate governance standards


Leadership & Talent Development

  • Build, lead, and mentor high-performing sales and sponsorship teams
  • Foster a results-driven, collaborative, and ethical commercial culture
  • Support talent development and succession planning within the commercial function



Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Media, or related field (MBA preferred)
  • 10–15+ years of senior commercial leadership experience in the media or advertising industry
  • Proven track record in advertising sales, sponsorships, and brand partnerships
  • Strong negotiation, leadership, and strategic planning skills
  • Deep understanding of media markets, agencies, and advertiser ecosystems
