Chief Engineer

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chief Engineer for our engineering operations within a manufacturing environment. As a long established small company within a larger organization we offer flexibility and ability to make your mark within a stable environment.

Responsibilities:
Oversee the engineering functions, guiding project planning, execution, and technical standards to ensure products are designed, developed, and produced efficiently and
cost-effectively. Maintain and improve manufacturing equipment.

Specific Functions:

Technical Leadership: Provide technical direction for the company, and ensure technical solutions align with organizational goals.

Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of engineering projects, setting long-term goals and ensuring projects stay within budget and time constraints.

Compliance & Quality: Ensure all engineering activities and products meet industry standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements.

Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as manufacturing, sales, and finance, to align projects with business goals.

Process Improvement: Monitor production data, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Vendor & Supplier Management: Negotiate and collaborate with vendors and suppliers to select appropriate materials, equipment, and technologies.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or similar field from an accredited 4-year institution. Strong Mechanical ability is desired.

A minimum of 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
