Position Title:
Chief Engineer
Location: Head Office – Prabhat Road, Pune / Project Sites (Ambegaon Budruk, Undri)
Job Responsibilities:
1.Leadership & Management:

Lead, supervise, and mentor the engineering team across various projects.

Ensure that all engineering work aligns with the company’s operational goals and standards.

Oversee hiring, training, and professional development for the engineering staff.
2.Project Management:
-
Manage and oversee the engineering design, construction, and commissioning of residential, commercial, and mixed-use real estate projects.

Ensure timely delivery of engineering projects within budget and scope.

Collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors to ensure engineering designs meet project specifications.
3.Design & Development:

Oversee the preparation and review of engineering designs, plans, and specifications.

Ensure compliance with building codes, local regulations, and environmental standards.

Conduct risk assessments and recommend solutions to mitigate engineering-related risks.
4.Operations & Maintenance:

Develop and implement maintenance strategies for all buildings and infrastructure.

Oversee the management and performance of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building systems.

Implement preventive maintenance schedules and ensure that all systems are functioning optimally.
5.Budget & Cost Control:

Manage and allocate engineering budgets for both capital projects and ongoing maintenance activities.

Analyze engineering costs and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality or safety.
6.Compliance & Quality Assurance:

Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, safety standards, and quality control procedures.

Perform regular inspections of engineering systems and ensure they meet company and legal standards.
7.Collaboration & Coordination:

Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., construction, facilities management, finance) to support company-wide initiatives.

Liaise with external consultants, contractors, vendors, and service providers to ensure efficient project execution.
8.Reporting & Documentation:

Provide regular reports on engineering activities, progress, and performance to senior management.

Maintain proper documentation of engineering work, including reports, contracts, schedules, and correspondence.
Skills & Qualifications:

Education:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.

Experience:
-
Minimum of 10 years of experience in the engineering and construction industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in real estate or facilities management.

Technical Skills:

In-depth knowledge of engineering systems (e.g., MEP, HVAC, fire safety) and construction processes.

Familiarity with design software, project management tools, and building information modeling (BIM).

Leadership Skills:

Proven ability to manage a team and work collaboratively with various departments and external stakeholders.

Communication Skills:

Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with senior management, clients, contractors, and vendors.
