• Location: Saudi Arabia.

• Salary: USD350 per day.

Requirements/Qualifications/Competence:

• Minimum 2 years of experience as Chief Engineer on DP vessels.
• Valid STCW III/2 certification.
• Valid DP Maintenance certificate.
• Demonstrated experience with high-speed propulsion systems (waterjets and/or fast diesel engines typical of crew boats).
• Strong fault-finding ability under time pressure, especially during short port turnarounds.
• Familiarity with compact engine room layouts and multi-system integration common on fast crew boats.
• Ability to manage spares, tools, and maintenance planning with limited onboard storage.
• Proven leadership of small engineering teams with a practical, “lead by doing” approach.
• Working knowledge of class and flag compliance relevant to small, high-speed DP vessels.
• Fluent in English for technical reporting and communication with bridge and shore teams.

Tasks:

• Oversee continuous readiness of propulsion and auxiliary systems to support rapid transit schedules.
• Maintain DP system reliability from an engineering perspective, ensuring redundancy is fully functional at all times.
• Execute and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance with minimal disruption to vessel operations.
• Lead engine room operations during high-speed runs, ensuring optimal performance and fuel efficiency.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical or electrical faults quickly, often without external support.
• Manage spare parts inventory tailored to fast crew boat operational demands and voyage patterns.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, class requirements, and company technical standards.
• Train and mentor engine room personnel in efficient maintenance practices suited to high-utilization vessels.
• Maintain accurate, concise technical records and report emerging issues before they impact operations.
