Hyatt Place Boise / Meridian is a new upscale select service hotel located in Eagle View business park by top Golf. We offer modern guest rooms and suites, a full bar and restaurant along an outdoor pool with a heated deck.

Our organization is looking for a motivated and capable individual to join our management team as our Chief Engineer. The ideal candidate will be interested in assuming greater responsibility, have strong communication skills, and be willing to learn new skills. The successful individual will take direction well and will be able to prioritize effectively.

The Chief Engineer Responsibilities: train, mentor, and schedule staff to build a positive culture. Together with the GM, collaborate in the hiring process and with any disciplinary actions that may need to be addressed.

Shifts are variable and flexible according to the hotel and staff needs. Available to work on call, any day of the week and any shift as needed.

Responsibilities:

Staffing – Ensure that all Engineering shifts are covered.

Scheduling – Do a two-week schedule for the Engineering Department.

Payroll – Ensure that daily payroll is done and miss punch forms are signed.

Manage employee performance reviews.

Preventative Maintenance – Ensure that the monthly quarterly and annual preventative maintenance is completed and logged.

Public areas - Ensure that the public areas and exterior of the property is always clean.

Training – Ensure all staff are trained in fire and safety training is completed and logged.

Meeting and Banquet – Work with AGM and DOS on meeting room set up.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $58,000.00 - $63,000.00 per year
