About the Opportunity
A major hospitality group managing over 10,000 keys is seeking an exceptional executive leader to spearhead a complete transformation of the group’s engineering and maintenance ecosystem.
We are not looking for a traditional maintenance manager. We are seeking a visionary leader to build the system, drive its execution, and be accountable for the results.
The Executive Mandate
You will hold full responsibility for ensuring a safe, efficient work environment that operates at maximum productive capacity. Your core mission includes:
- Strategic Transformation: Build and execute a group-wide asset management and maintenance strategy. Lead the shift from a reactive model to a corporate-level Preventive & Predictive maintenance model.
- Standardization & Systems: Lead the standardization of engineering criteria across all sites and implement a fully integrated CMMS with strict compliance monitoring.
- Financial Governance: Manage CAPEX and OPEX budgets with high-level governance and prepare annual estimated maintenance budgets.
- Performance Optimization: Improve core KPIs (Asset Availability / MTTR / MTBF / Energy Index), maximize asset lifecycles, and analyze root causes of technical issues to minimize downtime.
Key Operational Duties
- Maintenance Operations: Supervise all repair, installation, and technical auditing processes for the facilities. Prepare and execute periodic and emergency maintenance plans.+1
- Contractor & Vendor Management: Source and manage contractors for establishment and finishing works. Oversee contracts for safety systems, elevators, HVAC, and gas tanks, ensuring strict compliance.+1
- Procurement: Manage purchase requests and identify suitable suppliers for hotel establishment and finishing materials (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, decor, etc.).
- Team Leadership: Supervise, evaluate, and develop the engineering administration staff, distributing tasks and schedules.
- Facility Readiness: Monitor the periodic and emergency maintenance of all hotel assets, including rooms, reception areas, parking, chillers, plumbing, and fire alarm systems. Ensure total readiness for any emergency at any time.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a figure who combines deep academic grounding with rigorous executive professionalism. This role is measured by numbers, not presentations.
1. Academic & Professional Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or equivalent) is required. A Master’s degree in Project Management, Facility Management, or Asset Management is preferred.
- Certification: Accreditation/Classification by the Saudi Council of Engineers is mandatory. Professional certifications such as CMRP, PMP, IFMA, ISO, or NEBOSH are highly desired.+1
2. Experience & Skills:
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in maintenance, with at least 5 years in a managerial role (Maintenance Manager, Supervisor, or Engineering Director). Experience in a high-volume hospitality environment or multi-site asset management is essential.
- Track Record: Proven record of implementing large-scale corporate maintenance systems and delivering numerical results in reducing breakdowns and optimizing costs.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of global hospitality standards, safety/prevention regulations , and technical systems (Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC, Gas).
- Language: Fluency in English (speaking, reading, and writing) is preferred.
