Overview
E57 Partners is partnering with a private equity-backed HVAC platform company to identify a dynamic and execution-focused Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the organization through its next phase of sustained growth.
This is not a traditional “buy and flip” investment. The sponsoring private equity firm is committed to a long-term value creation strategy, with a 10+ year horizon focused on building a market-leading platform through organic growth and strategic acquisitions.
The CEO will play a critical role in shaping the future of the business—driving operational excellence, scaling infrastructure, and leading a disciplined acquisition strategy while maintaining a strong culture rooted in performance and accountability.
Role Summary
The CEO will have full P&L ownership and will be responsible for driving growth, profitability, and long-term enterprise value. This individual will partner closely with the Board and private equity sponsors while leading a high-performing leadership team across operations, finance, sales, and M&A integration.
This role requires a hands-on operator who thrives in a growth-oriented, acquisition-driven environment and can balance strategy with execution.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Growth

Define and execute a long-term growth strategy aligned with the private equity sponsor’s vision

Drive both organic growth initiatives and expansion into new markets

Identify and capitalize on market opportunities within the HVAC and broader essential services sector
M&A & Integration

Lead the sourcing, evaluation, and execution of add-on acquisitions

Oversee integration of acquired businesses, ensuring operational alignment and synergy realization

Build scalable playbooks for repeatable acquisition integration
Operational Excellence

Establish and optimize operational processes, KPIs, and performance metrics

Drive margin expansion through efficiency, pricing strategy, and cost discipline

Ensure best-in-class service delivery and customer satisfaction
Leadership & Culture

Build, develop, and lead a high-performing executive team

Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement

Align leadership across the organization around growth and value creation objectives
Financial Performance

Own full P&L responsibility, including budgeting, forecasting, and capital allocation

Partner closely with the CFO and Board on financial strategy and performance tracking

Deliver consistent, predictable financial results aligned with growth targets
Board & Investor Relations

Serve as the primary interface with the Board of Directors and private equity sponsors

Provide clear, data-driven updates on performance, strategy, and key initiatives

Align on long-term value creation and execution milestones
Qualifications

Proven experience as a CEO, President, or senior executive within HVAC, construction services, or a related field services platform

Demonstrated success leading a private equity-backed business, preferably within a build-and-scale model

Strong track record of driving both organic growth and M&A integration

Deep operational expertise with the ability to scale systems, teams, and processes

Financial acumen with experience managing P&L performance in a growth environment

Experience building and leading high-performing leadership teams

Ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a hands-on leadership role
