Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Financial Leadership
- Develop and execute the company's financial strategy in line with its overall business goals and growth objectives.
- Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO, board of directors, and senior management team based on financial analysis, market conditions, and trends.
- Lead the preparation and presentation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for stakeholders.
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Oversee the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support strategic planning and decision-making.
- Manage the financial planning process to ensure the alignment of resources with the company’s goals.
- Monitor financial performance and ensure timely corrective actions are taken if needed.
Cash Flow & Liquidity Management
- Ensure optimal cash flow and liquidity for the organization, with oversight of working capital and capital expenditures.
- Manage banking relationships, financing, and credit lines to ensure the company has the necessary liquidity to support operations and growth.
- Monitor cash positions, debt levels, and financial liabilities to minimize risk and maximize operational efficiency.
Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and international accounting standards (IFRS or other applicable standards).
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
- Coordinate and manage audits, ensuring timely and accurate submission of financial statements to regulatory authorities.
Risk Management & Internal Controls
- Develop and implement effective internal controls to safeguard the company’s assets and prevent fraud.
- Identify financial risks (e.g., currency exchange, credit, and market risks) and implement strategies to mitigate these risks.
- Oversee insurance, risk management, and tax planning for the company.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and high performance.
- Provide mentorship, training, and guidance to the finance staff, ensuring their professional development.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for the finance department and track performance against set targets.
Investor & Stakeholder Relations
- Manage relationships with investors, banks, auditors, and financial analysts.
- Communicate the company’s financial performance, strategic goals, and growth prospects to external stakeholders.
- Participate in meetings with key stakeholders to address financial concerns and opportunities.
Key Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: 10–15+ years of experience in financial management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (such as CFO, Finance Director, or Senior Finance Manager).
- Education: A Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration (MBA), or a related field is preferred. Professional certifications such as CFA, CPA, or ACCA are highly valued.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of corporate finance, accounting principles, and financial reporting.
- Expertise in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Proficiency in risk management and internal controls.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills to interact effectively with senior management, board members, and external partners.
- In-depth knowledge of Omani financial regulations and compliance standards.
- Ability to manage and mentor a high-performing team of finance professionals.
- Language: Proficiency in English is essential. Knowledge of Arabic is advantageous but not mandatory.
