Chief Financial Officer

JOB SUMMARY: The CFO is responsible for the company’s financial strategy, capital markets, investor relations, and financial operations. This role leads balance sheet strategy, funding diversification, and long-range planning while ensuring strong forecasting, reporting, controls, and compliance.


The CFO partners with the CEO to drive profitability, optimize unit economics, and support growth across direct-to-consumer and point-of-sale channels. This role leads a team of approximately eight and reports directly to the CEO.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Financial Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the company’s growth, profitability, and value creation objectives.
  • Own long-range planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, including scenario modeling and capital allocation analysis.
  • Partner with the CEO and executive team to evaluate strategic initiatives, new products, and expansion opportunities.
  • Oversee portfolio economics, cohort profitability, and contribution margin analytics across all products and channels.

Capital Markets & Balance Sheet Management

  • Own and execute the company’s capital markets strategy, including warehouse facilities, securitizations, forward flow agreements, and whole loan sales.
  • Lead all funding negotiations, renewals, and capacity planning with lenders and capital partners.
  • Drive funding diversification to support scalable growth and reduce concentration risk.
  • Oversee liquidity management, cash flow planning, and balance sheet optimization.

Risk Management, Controls & Compliance

  • Oversee enterprise financial risk management, internal controls, and audit processes.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, bank partner oversight, and state licensing obligations.
  • Partner closely with Legal, Compliance, and Risk to support regulatory exams and audits.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing finance organization.
  • Establish a culture of accountability, analytical rigor, and continuous improvement.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and thought partner to senior leadership.

Financial Operations

  • Oversee accounting, tax, treasury, procurement, and financial systems.
  • Ensure accurate, timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
  • Drive process improvement, automation, and scalability across finance operations.
  • Oversee servicing finance, collections performance analytics, and recovery economics.

M&A and Strategic Initiatives

  • Lead financial aspects of mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, and strategic investments.
  • Oversee due diligence, valuation, structuring, and integration planning.
  • Provide financial leadership on special projects and enterprise-wide initiatives.

Investor Relations & Board Interface

  • Serve as primary financial liaison to Warburg Pincus and the Board of Directors.
  • Prepare and present board materials, financial performance updates, and strategic analyses.
  • Lead all equity and debt capital raises in support of growth initiatives and strategic priorities.
  • Partner with the CEO and Board on exit readiness, including IPO or strategic sale planning.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline required. MBA, CPA, or CFA preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience managing relationships with institutional investors, lenders, and rating agencies.
  • Experience in a high-growth, PE-backed or VC-backed environment strongly preferred.
  • Exposure to IPO readiness or successful exit processes is a plus.
  • Prior CFO experience preferred; strong #2 finance leaders from relevant non-bank lenders will be considered.
  • Background in capital markets, treasury, structured finance, or FP&A with direct ownership of complex borrowing arrangements and securitizations.

  • Capital Management & Fundraising
    Experience managing capital structure, cash flow, debt, and equity, including relationships with investors, lenders, and private equity partners.
  • Executive Communication & Influence: Strong ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to executive leadership, board members, and external stakeholders, influencing key decisions.
  • Leadership & Team Development: Proven ability to build, lead, and develop high-performing finance teams; fosters accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Operational Efficiency & Process Improvement: Drives efficiency through process optimization, systems enhancements, and data-driven decision-making across the finance function.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverages financial and operational data to provide insights, identify trends, and support strategic initiatives.
  • Integrity & Ethical Judgment: Demonstrates the highest level of integrity, ensuring transparency, accuracy, and ethical financial practices.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
Leads and oversees the Finance function, including Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Treasury, and related teams. Responsible for hiring, developing, and managing finance staff, including setting performance expectations, conducting evaluations, and supporting professional growth.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach, and sit for a minimum of 8 hours with or without reasonable accommodation. WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the logistics duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moderate noises such as computers, printers, and other light traffic noise in an office setting.


This role is in-office. Remote work may be performed from a pre-approved location, as arranged, and scheduled by team management and approved by department leadership.
