Chief Financial Officer

Duties

  • Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies aligned with organizational goals to foster growth and stability.
  • Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to ensure accurate projections and resource allocation.
  • Manage all aspects of accounting functions, including general ledger accounting, account reconciliation, and corporate finance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act), and governmental accounting standards.
  • Lead financial report writing, profit & loss analysis, and risk management initiatives to inform leadership decisions.
  • Supervise financial software systems and ensure efficient financial operations management across departments.
  • Conduct credit risk assessments, manage banking relationships, and oversee cash flow management to optimize liquidity.
  • Drive business development efforts by exploring new financial services, private equity opportunities, and strategic partnerships.
  • Lead team management initiatives by mentoring finance professionals and fostering a high-performance organizational culture.
  • Collaborate on strategic planning efforts, including long-term growth initiatives and capital allocation strategies.

Experience

  • Proven experience in senior leadership roles within finance or corporate accounting environments.
  • Extensive background in financial sales, negotiation, and business development within diverse sectors.
  • Deep understanding of non-profit accounting practices alongside commercial lending and public accounting experience.
  • Strong expertise in financial concepts such as profit & loss management, budgeting, forecasting, and risk assessment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with financial software platforms, general ledger accounting systems, and account reconciliation tools.
  • Knowledge of SOX compliance requirements and experience implementing internal controls for financial operations.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent leadership capabilities with a focus on team management, strategic thinking, and organizational development.
  • Familiarity with private equity transactions, governmental accounting standards, and technical accounting principles is highly desirable.
