Chief Investment Officer (CIO) – Technology & Strategic Investments

As we expand our technology and innovation portfolio, we are seeking a Chief Investment Officer (CIO) to lead capital strategy, investor engagement, and strategic funding initiatives that enable the growth and scaling of high-impact technology projects across the Kingdom.

Role Overview

The Chief Investment Officer will be responsible for attracting institutional, sovereign, and private capital into technology-driven initiatives, strategic programs, and innovation-led projects.

You will leverage strong regional and international investor networks to structure and close funding rounds, joint ventures, and strategic co-investment models across AI, cloud, cybersecurity, digital platforms, and innovation ecosystems.

What You Will Do

Investment Strategy & Capital Formation

• Develop and execute the organization’s capital and investment strategy.
• Structure funding models for technology projects, platforms, and innovation initiatives.
• Lead equity, debt, and strategic investment transactions.
• Design co-investment and partnership frameworks for large-scale transformation programs.

Investor Relations & Strategic Partnerships

• Build and maintain relationships with sovereign wealth funds, family offices, private equity firms, venture capital funds, and institutional investors.
• Present investment theses, financial models, and growth projections to boards and investment committees.
• Lead investor roadshows, negotiations, and term sheet structuring.
• Technology & Innovation Investment Leadership
• Evaluate high-growth technology opportunities across AI, enterprise software, digital infrastructure, and emerging technologies.
• Oversee due diligence, valuation modeling, and risk assessment.
• Identify scalable tech opportunities aligned with national digital and economic transformation priorities.

Project Funding & Deal Execution

• Secure funding for strategic transformation projects across public and private sectors.
• Structure SPVs, joint ventures, and investment vehicles where required.
• Lead complex negotiations through financial close.

Executive Leadership & Strategic Alignment

• Advise executive leadership on capital strategy, investment prioritization, and funding structures across technology initiatives.
• • Provide financial oversight, portfolio performance tracking, and investment governance across active projects.
• Align investment activities with long-term growth strategy, market expansion objectives, and Vision 2030 priorities.
• Support executive decision-making through data-driven financial insights and risk assessment.

What You Bring

• 10 -15+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, sovereign funds, or corporate investment leadership.
• Proven track record of raising capital and closing investment transactions in the technology sector.
• Strong investor network within KSA, GCC, and international markets.
• Deep understanding of technology markets including AI, digital infrastructure, SaaS, and innovation ecosystems.
• Experience structuring complex investment vehicles and multi-party partnerships.
• Strong financial modeling, valuation, and negotiation capabilities.
• Executive presence with ability to engage boards, sovereign entities, and institutional investors.
• Strong understanding of Vision 2030 investment landscape and giga-project ecosystems.
