Chief Marketing Officer

Creative Direct Marketing Group, Inc. (CDMG) is a full-service direct response advertising & marketing agency based in Nashville TN.

Required skills and qualifications

  • At least 7 years’ experience as a Director of Marketing or CMO for an integrated ad agency. Direct response marketing preferred.
  • Candidate MUST live in middle TN as this is an on -site position.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Expertise in various marketing functions, including digital marketing, content, and Direct Response..
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strong understanding of data analysis.
  • Knowledge of market trends and customer behavior.
  • Experience with marketing tools like CRM, SEO, and analytics platforms.
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in marketing, business, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in senior marketing roles with a proven track record of developing effective strategies
  • This person must have superior ability to multi-task and be extremely organized.
  • Manage projects from initial creative brief, execution, and strategic evaluation upon completion
  • Proactive communication with internal staff and clients
  • Must love marketing, direct response advertising strategies and client success

Key responsibilities:

  • Strategic planning: Develop and implement the company's overall marketing strategy, including setting objectives, policies, and procedures for the marketing department.
  • Budget management: Plan, direct, and control the marketing budget to ensure optimal spending and return on investment.
  • Team leadership:  Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing marketing team, fostering a collaborative and innovative culture.
  • Market research: Oversee market research to identify trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape, using the findings to inform strategy.
  • Campaign management:  Lead the creation and execution of marketing campaigns, including digital marketing, social media, content marketing, and public relations.
  • Performance analysis:  Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and analyze campaign performance, making data-driven decisions to optimize strategies.
  • Cross-functional collaboration:  Work with other departments, such as sales and product development, to ensure marketing efforts are aligned with overall business goals.
