Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and own portfolio marketing strategy; align positioning and goals across diverse brands with disciplined execution and measurable outcomes.
  • Provide high-level direction across brand, PR/communications, creative, and growth. Branding & Storytelling
  • Craft compelling narratives and write/edit high-impact copy that builds trust and long-term loyalty across distinct ICPs.
  • Guard brand voice and visual identity across channels.
  • Public Relations & Communications
  • Lead media outreach, press relations, and thought-leadership opportunities (including founder-aligned platforms).
  • Build partnerships that enhance credibility and amplify reach; measure impact beyond vanity metrics.
  • Digital & eCommerce Marketing
  • Drive DTC and Amazon performance (paid social/search, SEO/SEM, CRO, lifecycle/CRM, influencer/affiliate).
  • Set KPIs (CAC/LTV/ROAS), standardize reporting cadences, and run post-launch reviews to optimize investment.
  • Team Development & Oversight
  • Mentor a multidisciplinary team; set clear expectations, simple OKRs, and a fast weekly operating rhythm.
  • Scale in-house/agency capabilities and insist on accountability and pace.

Qualifications

  • Typical: 10+ years progressive marketing leadership with 5+ years in senior/executive roles.
  • Also considered: VP/Head-level leaders ready to step into a CMO-scope role who, even with fewer total years,

demonstrate exceptional intelligence and hunger, plus

standout social media leadership, PR/storytelling, and clear eCommerce impact.

  • Proven experience scaling health, wellness, or premium consumer brands (appliances ideal; supplements a plus).
  • Track record in brand storytelling, PR, executive-level communications, and hands-on eCommerce growth.
  • Outstanding writing and communication skills; ability to balance strategy with tactical execution.
  • Reputation for ethics, transparency, authenticity—and a focus on company/founder brands over personal branding.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $150,000.05 - $200,000.00 per year
