Chief Medical Officer

The Chief Medical Officer provides executive leadership for all clinical and medical operations across the organization. The CMO is responsible for ensuring high standards of patient care, clinical governance, regulatory compliance, and medical staff performance while supporting the organization’s strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the medical and clinical functions of the organization.
• Develop and implement clinical policies, protocols, and quality standards.
• Oversee medical governance, patient safety, and clinical risk management.
• Supervise physicians, department heads, and other medical leaders.
• Ensure compliance with local healthcare regulations, licensing, and accreditation requirements.
• Review clinical outcomes, incident reports, and improvement initiatives.
• Work closely with hospital leadership on budgeting, workforce planning, and strategic growth.
• Support recruitment, training, performance management, and retention of medical staff.
• Represent the organization in meetings with regulators, partners, and stakeholders.
• Promote a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Medical degree with valid clinical background and leadership experience.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in healthcare leadership, preferably in hospital or large healthcare group settings.
• Strong knowledge of clinical governance, quality assurance, and healthcare compliance.
• Proven experience managing multidisciplinary medical teams.
• Excellent communication, decision-making, and strategic planning skills.
• Experience working in the Gulf region or Qatar healthcare environment is an advantage.

Preferred qualifications

• Board certification or equivalent postgraduate medical qualification.
• Experience in hospital administration, accreditation, and healthcare transformation.
• Familiarity with Qatar healthcare regulations and licensing requirements.

Pay: QAR100.00 - QAR390.00 per hour
