Overview:
Old Lycoming Township is hiring a Fire Chief of Operations and Emergency Management Coordinator. This diverse and exciting position will support the operation and administrative functions within the Old Lycoming Township Volunteer Fire Company and management of the Old Lycoming Township Emergency Management functions.
Summary:
Support the Township emergency services with its mission of protecting the public within all jurisdictions served by Old Lycoming Twp. Volunteer Fire Company (OLTVFC), against loss of life, property, or prevention of such by fire, accidents, natural or man-made disasters, and emergency medical incidents. Work involves the efficient operation of the OLTVFC through management of the daily operations, recruitment, retention programs and the College Student Live-in program and its participants. This includes coordination with and support of the President, Fire Company Fire Chief, administration, and in cooperation with the Township Manager to carry out the mission of the fire company operations and the Township’s Emergency Management Coordinator duties in accordance with PA Title 35: to include planning, disaster response, mitigation, paperwork, and report completion. The Chief of Operations and Township Emergency Management Coordinator will develop and maintain an effective harmonious working relationship between OLTVFC and its partners the Williamsport Bureau of Fire (WBF), and Susquehanna Regional EMS (SREMS), as well as other agencies.
Requirements:
Candidates must have a strong background & experience in the Fire, EMS, & Rescue industry & equipment used, along with emergency management experience. Candidates must also hold current certification as a National Registry as an EMT or Paramedic (Preferred) & Fire fighter I, an Associate or Bachelor Degree in Business, Fire Science, or Emergency Medical Services (Preferred), but will accept 10 years of operational management experience in Fire, or EMS with at least 5 years as a National Registry Paramedic (Preferred) or National Registry EMT with 5 years experience.
