About Satokie

Founded in 2023 and headquartered in Houston, Texas, Satokie is a compute and energy infrastructure company. We develop, build, and operate enterprise compute facilities and provide full-spectrum managed services across the datacenter and energy sectors. Our two integrated divisions, Datacenter & Energy Development and Managed Services enable us to control the full lifecycle of infrastructure delivery from site origination through long-term operations. Our primary market is Texas, with an expanding pipeline across the United States.

We are a lean, high-velocity team of approximately 75 people, led by co-founders who operate with an owner-operator mentality. Satokie is entering its next phase of growth, executing a 500+MW pipeline across multiple markets while building the institutional infrastructure to support a growing multi-project portfolio. We are looking for people who want to build something significant, thrive where speed and precision both matter, and are energized by the intersection of energy and compute infrastructure.

Job Summary:

The Chief of Staff (CoS) is a strategic thought partner to the executive leadership team, responsible for translating Satokie's vision into coordinated execution across datacenter and energy development, managed services, and corporate functions. This role drives focus on the company's highest-impact priorities, improves operating rigor, and ensures initiatives are delivered on time and to standard.

This is not a traditional administrative or project management role. Working closely alongside the COO, the Chief of Staff will own the internal operating cadence, drive cross-functional execution, and serve as the connective tissue that keeps leadership aligned and initiatives on track.

Duties/Responsibilities: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.

Strategic planning and execution

  • Partner with the executive leadership team to define, prioritize, and sequence strategic initiatives across datacenter and energy development and managed services.
  • Translate high-level strategies into clear workstreams, timelines, and owners; track progress, risks, and dependencies to ensure delivery.
  • Run special projects on behalf of executive leadership, especially cross-functional initiatives touching operations, development, and energy infrastructure.

Executive support and operating cadence

  • Design and facilitate executive team meetings, quarterly business reviews, and project check-ins, including pre-reads, materials, and follow-up actions.
  • Prepare or refine executive-ready presentations, memos, and dashboards for internal stakeholders, board members, investors, and key external partners.

Cross-functional alignment and communication

  • Serve as a central liaison between the executive leadership team and department leaders across development, operations, finance, and HR.
  • Ensure clear communication of company direction, project milestones, operational changes, and strategic initiatives across the organization.
  • Proactively identify misalignments or gaps between teams and drive resolution to keep projects moving forward.

Operational rigor and process improvement

  • Review, design, and refine organizational structures, decision-making forums, and workflows that support scalable operations.
  • Partner with department leaders to improve processes for site development, capacity planning, and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor key operational and financial metrics, surfacing trends, issues, and improvement opportunities to the executive leadership team.

Initiative tracking and accountability

  • Maintain a live view of all active workstreams across Datacenter & Energy Development and Managed Services. Flag delays, surface blockers, and drive resolution before they escalate.
  • Support evaluation and prioritization of strategic initiatives and infrastructure projects through data-backed analysis and cross-functional input.

People, culture, and change management

  • Work closely with HR to support leadership hiring, onboarding, and talent planning in critical operational and technical roles.
  • Help drive cultural initiatives that reinforce safety, ownership, transparency, and high performance across the organization.
  • Lead or support change-management efforts for major organizational shifts, process changes, or system implementations.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, operations management, or a related field; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
  • Alternatively, 5+ years of experience in strategy, operations, or consulting in a Chief of Staff or equivalent capacity.
  • Experience in datacenter, energy, industrial infrastructure, or related technical and operational environments.
  • Demonstrated success driving cross-functional projects from concept through execution in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex technical and business information into clear recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing executive-level presentations and materials.
  • Proven ability to influence without formal authority and build trusted relationships across all levels of the organization.

Nice to Have:

  • Prior experience in datacenter development, energy management, large-scale industrial construction, or critical infrastructure environments.
  • Background in management consulting, corporate strategy, or chief-of-staff roles in growth-stage companies.
  • Experience with KPI design and reporting for operations, reliability, and energy efficiency.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None initially; may evolve as the function scales

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

  • Majority of work is performed at a desk and working on a computer in an office setting for extended periods of time.
  • Some work may be performed in industrial datacenter or facility environments with exposure to loud noise, high-heat environments, air particulates from equipment and facility operations, and varying weather conditions.
  • Compliance with all company safety guidelines and OSHA standards.

Travel:

  • Up to 25% travel with regular in-person collaboration at Satokie offices and operational sites.
