Role: Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Location: Muscat, Oman | Full-time, On-site

QS Maritime is seeking an experienced and visionary Chief Operating Officer to lead and oversee all aspects of our operations. The COO will play a critical role in ensuring operational excellence, financial sustainability, and the successful execution of port development projects.

As a key member of the executive team, the COO will drive strategic initiatives, optimize processes, and cultivate a culture of high performance, innovation, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and ensure alignment with the company’s strategic vision.
• Develop, implement, and monitor robust business and operational plans.
• Manage budgets, financial performance, and ensure long-term organizational stability.
• Streamline processes to drive operational efficiency and service excellence.
• Analyze key performance metrics to evaluate progress and identify improvement opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with national and international standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Lead and manage port development phases, including planning, construction, and operational integration.
• Collaborate with the CEO and executive leadership team to drive strategic growth initiatives.
• Inspire and mentor large teams to achieve operational goals and foster a high-performance culture.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in operations, business management, or related fields.
• Proven expertise in business planning, financial management, and budgeting .
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Demonstrated success in leading large teams and managing complex operations .
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in the maritime, shipping, or logistics industry is highly advantageous.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Management , or a related field.
• MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification strongly preferred.
