Position Overview
We are seeking a high-impact Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead and scale our organization. This role is designed for a proven Integrator who can unify Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Financial direction while building the systems, structure, and accountability needed to support aggressive growth.
You will run the day-to-day business, lead the leadership team, and build the operating system that allows the company to scale effectively; freeing the Visionary to focus on growth.
What You Will OwnSales & Marketing Leadership
- Oversee Director of Sales and Field Marketing leadership
- Align sales and marketing into one unified revenue engine
- Drive company-wide performance metrics including demo rates, close rates, and revenue targets
- Enforce accountability to processes, KPIs, and consistency
- Ensure marketing generates profitable, trackable leads with strong ROI
- Oversee call center performance (inbound, outbound, and rehash) using data-driven metrics
Operational & Production Leadership
- Own the full operational lifecycle: sale → remeasure → install → service → completion
- Improve gross profit margins, job costing accuracy, and labor efficiency
- Implement SOPs, checklists, and capacity planning systems
- Strengthen scheduling, warehouse/material flow, and installation execution
- Reduce cycle times, callbacks, and customer friction
- Lead production managers, installers, crews, and service teams with strong accountability
Financial Direction & Reporting
- Partner with ownership and accounting to improve financial visibility
- Enhance budgeting, forecasting, and division-level P&L management
- Ensure disciplined job costing and margin control
- Support administrative, HR, and compliance systems
- Track financial KPIs and drive data-informed decision-making
Leadership & People Development
- Lead the Leadership Team and run all executive-level meetings
- Develop managers into strong, accountable leaders
- Establish alignment, communication, and discipline across departments
- Implement scorecards, quarterly goals and accountability systems
- Foster a high-performance, results-driven culture
Scaling & Growth
- Build infrastructure to support multi-stage growth
- Improve organizational structure as the company expands
- Identify and eliminate operational bottlenecks
- Prepare the business for multi-division and/or multi-location expansion
What We’re Looking For
This is a company operator role - not a single-department leader.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of senior leadership experience in home improvement, construction, trades, or related industry
- Proven experience leading Sales, Marketing, and Operations simultaneously
- Strong track record of improving margins, efficiency, and accountability
- Deep understanding of job costing, production flow, and capacity planning
- Experience building SOPs and scalable systems
- Ability to implement and manage an operating system
- Demonstrated leadership development and team accountability skills
- Highly data-driven with strong KPI and forecasting experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, Operations, or related field (preferred, not required)
- Master’s degree is a plus
- Experience scaling a contractor by $20M+
- Multi-division or multi-location leadership experience
- Prior experience implementing a formal operating system

Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $140,000 – $190,000
- Performance Bonus: 20–25% of base salary
- Tied to profitability (EBITDA/NOP) and key KPIs including gross margin, scheduling efficiency, demo flow, and customer satisfaction
