About Us

Mt. Pleasant Window & Remodeling is a third-generation, family-owned home improvement company serving Western Pennsylvania for nearly 50 years. We specialize in windows, doors, roofing, siding, and bathroom remodeling. As a fast-growing and ambitious company, we are building a leadership team capable of driving our next phase of expansion.

Position Overview

We are seeking a high-impact Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead and scale our organization. This role is designed for a proven Integrator who can unify Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Financial direction while building the systems, structure, and accountability needed to support aggressive growth.

You will run the day-to-day business, lead the leadership team, and build the operating system that allows the company to scale effectively; freeing the Visionary to focus on growth.

What You Will OwnSales & Marketing Leadership

  • Oversee Director of Sales and Field Marketing leadership
  • Align sales and marketing into one unified revenue engine
  • Drive company-wide performance metrics including demo rates, close rates, and revenue targets
  • Enforce accountability to processes, KPIs, and consistency
  • Ensure marketing generates profitable, trackable leads with strong ROI
  • Oversee call center performance (inbound, outbound, and rehash) using data-driven metrics

Operational & Production Leadership

  • Own the full operational lifecycle: sale → remeasure → install → service → completion
  • Improve gross profit margins, job costing accuracy, and labor efficiency
  • Implement SOPs, checklists, and capacity planning systems
  • Strengthen scheduling, warehouse/material flow, and installation execution
  • Reduce cycle times, callbacks, and customer friction
  • Lead production managers, installers, crews, and service teams with strong accountability

Financial Direction & Reporting

  • Partner with ownership and accounting to improve financial visibility
  • Enhance budgeting, forecasting, and division-level P&L management
  • Ensure disciplined job costing and margin control
  • Support administrative, HR, and compliance systems
  • Track financial KPIs and drive data-informed decision-making

Leadership & People Development

  • Lead the Leadership Team and run all executive-level meetings
  • Develop managers into strong, accountable leaders
  • Establish alignment, communication, and discipline across departments
  • Implement scorecards, quarterly goals and accountability systems
  • Foster a high-performance, results-driven culture

Scaling & Growth

  • Build infrastructure to support multi-stage growth
  • Improve organizational structure as the company expands
  • Identify and eliminate operational bottlenecks
  • Prepare the business for multi-division and/or multi-location expansion

What We’re Looking For

This is a company operator role - not a single-department leader.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of senior leadership experience in home improvement, construction, trades, or related industry
  • Proven experience leading Sales, Marketing, and Operations simultaneously
  • Strong track record of improving margins, efficiency, and accountability
  • Deep understanding of job costing, production flow, and capacity planning
  • Experience building SOPs and scalable systems
  • Ability to implement and manage an operating system
  • Demonstrated leadership development and team accountability skills
  • Highly data-driven with strong KPI and forecasting experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, Operations, or related field (preferred, not required)
  • Master’s degree is a plus
  • Experience scaling a contractor by $20M+
  • Multi-division or multi-location leadership experience
  • Prior experience implementing a formal operating system

Who You Are

  • A builder who creates structure where none exists
  • A systems thinker who understands how departments interconnect
  • A leader of leaders; not a micromanager
  • A disciplined operator who thrives in fast-paced environments
  • A results-driven professional with high standards and accountability
  • A strong communicator who creates clarity and alignment

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $140,000 – $190,000
