The Job Role:

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will oversee the daily operations of Zarea Limited, ensuring all departments are aligned with the company’s strategic goals. This senior leadership role requires a forward-thinking, execution-oriented leader who can scale operations, optimize business performance, and support the CEO in driving growth across commodity trading, logistics, and digital infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Lead company-wide operational strategy, ensuring efficient integration of supply chain, trading, logistics, finance, and digital platforms.
• Oversee day-to-day operations across all verticals and ensure timely execution of business objectives.
• Translate strategic vision into actionable plans with measurable KPIs and ensure successful implementation across departments.
• Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to drive profitability, efficiency, and market expansion.
• Build and scale operational systems and processes for continuous improvement in productivity and customer experience.
• Identify and mitigate operational risks, ensuring compliance with all regulatory, legal, and safety requirements.
• Oversee the budgeting process and financial performance, ensuring cost optimization across the board.
• Mentor and develop senior leadership across departments to build a high-performance, accountable culture.
• Drive innovation through the adoption of digital tools and data analytics in operational decision-making.
• Represent Zarea in external partnerships, government engagements, and strategic business forums.

Requirements and Skills:

• Proven leadership experience as a COO, GM Operations, or in a similar executive role preferably within commodities, agribusiness, logistics, or tech-driven industries.
• CMA/ CA qualified.
• 15+ years of progressive experience with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing complex operations.
• Deep understanding of commodity markets, digital platforms, supply chain management, and financial operations.
• Strong operational acumen with experience in scaling high-growth organizations.
• Exceptional communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• A results-driven, data-informed, and customer-centric mindset.
