Chief Procurement Officer (CPO)

Job Summary

The Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) will lead the organization’s procurement strategy, ensuring cost efficiency, quality sourcing, and supply chain resilience. This role requires a highly experienced professional with 15+ years of experience to manage vendor relationships, optimize procurement processes, and support overall business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement and sourcing strategy
  • Lead end-to-end procurement operations, including sourcing, purchasing, and contract management
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive efficiency across the supply chain
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and suppliers
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, regulations, and ethical standards
  • Oversee vendor selection, evaluation, and performance management
  • Negotiate high-value contracts and agreements
  • Manage procurement budgets and monitor spending
  • Collaborate with internal departments to align procurement with business needs
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks
  • Lead and mentor procurement and supply chain teams

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • Professional certifications such as CIPS, CPSM, or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum 15+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain management
  • At least 5 years in a senior leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, and vendor negotiations
  • Experience with ERP systems and procurement tools
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities
