Job Purpose:
The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will serve as the strategic architect and executive leader driving the organization’s digital transformation. This role is responsible for unifying and modernizing the company’s technology landscape by integrating all technological solutions into a cohesive, scalable ecosystem. The CTO will lead the consolidation of platforms, streamline operations, and deliver seamless end-to-end services that enhance business agility, operational efficiency, and customer experience.
As a visionary technologist and change agent, the CTO will align technology strategy with business objectives, foster innovation, and build a future-ready infrastructure that supports growth, resilience, and competitive advantage
Accountabilities of the Role:

Reports directly to CEO and participates in shaping our culture

Hires, assesses performance and prevents attrition of engineering talents

Owns the technical implementation of the platforms, acting as a thought partner to CEO and CPO during value proposition design

Partners with CTO and CSO. on build/ buy or partner strategic decisions

Designs the architecture and technical design of the platforms

Works closely with tech and product teams to ensure successful launch of MVP

Shares responsibility with CPO for building reusable and scalable components

Provides the team a roadmap for implementing software engineering practices

Assembles and coaches the team of talented and motivated engineers to create a modular, scalable solution that addresses/incorporates future architectural changes and designs

Guides project teams on coding practices, continuous integration, and automated deployment with deep understanding reliability and cybersecurity requirement

Be hands on and engage in coding to help the team to develop his solution and solve all surfacing problems at hand.
The Candidate:
The required candidate, other than having experience with an appropriate level of seniority, s/he should also have an extensive experience within the HR function within the F&B, Food FMCG and/or food manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will be someone with excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. S/he is expected to be a strategic thinker to develop and execute the required HR strategies aligned with business objectives and development plans.
Qualifications & Requirements:

Holds a bachelor or master's degree in engineering, computer software on information technology

10+ years in senior engineering roles working with product development teams, delivering and building digital products and experience managing technical priorities within the Backlog

A track record of hiring, onboarding, and developing engineering teams

Expert within the technical components and business processes

Strong knowledge of Egypt data and technology compliance regulations

Expert in product development for web and mobile services

Seasoned Developer or technical lead with deep insight into newest technologies and trends (Java/JVM/ Javascript/TypeScript, React, NodeJS) and nice to have experience with functional programming (Scala)

Experience with development & integration activity from API (REST, Swagger)

Experience with infrastructure automation and application containerization.

Extensive experience working with teams using DevOps and continuous delivery with focus on delivering rapid customer value
