About Revent

Revent is on a mission to revolutionize how businesses and individuals access technology. We

offer a pre-owned electronics subscription service – making high-quality devices accessible

while promoting reuse and sustainability. But that’s just the beginning. Under the hood, we’re

building advanced AI-powered tools : automating IT management for SMEs, streamlining our

sourcing operations, optimizing marketing, and even innovating how our call center works

through AI. We’re an early-stage startup (innovating since 2023) with a small, passionate team

of founders and early employees. We have the domain knowledge, the business model, and

early traction – now we need you to take our tech to the next level.

The Opportunity: CTO with a Path to Co Founder

This is not just another CTO job . This is a chance to become a partner in building a

deep-tech startup from the ground up. If you’ve ever dreamed of being a technical

co-founder , shaping product and tech strategy hand-in-hand with an obsessed founding team,

this is your call. As CTO at Revent, you will be the architect, strategist, and guardian of all things

tech. In the near term, you’ll join as our technology leader; in the long term, you have a clear

path to co-founder status with additional equity – we want you to grow into a true owner of the

company.

We know joining a startup is a big leap. It means rolling up your sleeves to build something

novel, making tough decisions, and wearing many hats. But it also means building an asset

that you own a significant piece of . If the idea of creating AI-driven systems and a platform

that could redefine an industry excites you more than a cushy corporate job – let’s talk.

What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)

You will own our entire tech stack and innovation pipeline . Key responsibilities include:

Lead end-to-end product development – from brainstorming and prototyping new

features, to deploying scalable production systems that support our subscription

platform. You’ll oversee everything from frontend to backend , ensuring a seamless

experience for subscribers and partners.

Architect our AI-driven platforms – Design and build the core infrastructure for our AI

tools: data pipelines, machine learning models, and integration with operations. For

example, you might implement an AI engine that automates device sourcing or a

recommendation system that personalizes subscriptions.● Scale and Secure the System – As we grow, ensure our applications are secure,

robust, and scalable . You’ll make key decisions on cloud infrastructure, architecture

patterns, and tech stack choices to keep us reliable as usage increases. Performance

tuning, cybersecurity, and best engineering practices fall under your purview.

Innovate Internal Tools – Develop and refine our internal automation products: IT

automation tools for SMEs (our B2B angle), AI-driven marketing analytics, chatbot and

call center AI integration, etc. You get to play with cutting-edge tech (think GPT-like

models, RPA, whatever fits) to give us an edge internally and potentially as new product

lines.

Build and Lead the Tech Team – Initially, you might be coding hands-on (we hope you

love that!), but you will also hire and mentor engineers as we expand. You’ll shape our

engineering culture — one that’s product-focused, high on ownership, and fast but sane.

Strategic Tech Leadership – Work directly with us (the founders) on product strategy.

You’ll be part of all high-level decisions, not just an executor. That means translating

business goals into a technology roadmap, evaluating build vs. buy decisions, and

steering us toward tech opportunities we might not even know about. In investor

meetings or partner discussions, you’ll represent the tech vision of Revent.

Who You Are (Ideal Profile)

We understand the perfect candidate probably doesn’t exist, but if many of the points below

resonate, you might be the person we’re looking for:

Seasoned Builder: 5+ years of hands-on software development experience. You’ve

built full-stack applications (web or mobile) and have solid knowledge of modern

frameworks. Bonus if you have experience with AI/ML or data engineering – you don’t

need to be a data scientist, but you should be comfortable integrating ML models or

working with AI APIs.

Architect & Problem Solver: You’ve designed system architectures and made scaling

decisions. Concepts like microservices, REST/GraphQL APIs, cloud infrastructure

(AWS/Azure/GCP), and CI/CD are second nature. You can evaluate trade-offs (speed

vs. quality, build vs. buy) and make pragmatic decisions that align with business goals.

Passionate About Deep Tech: You stay updated on tech trends, especially in AI and

automation, because you love this stuff. Perhaps you’ve played with GPT-4/LLMs, have

opinions on the latest ML ops tools, or tinker with new frameworks for fun. The idea of

applying AI to a real-world, unglamorous industry (like refurbished electronics logistics)

excites you.● Leadership Mindset: You may or may not have formally managed people, but you’re

ready to step into a leadership role . You take ownership of outcomes, not just tasks.

You can mentor junior developers, coordinate with non-tech teams, and are able to

represent the technology vision to stakeholders. Basically, you think like a founder:

proactive, accountable, and driven.

Entrepreneurial & Gritty: You know startup life is not 9-to-5. You’re all-in for the

challenge of creating a product and a company from zero to one. When things break,

you jump in to fix them. When we need a quick MVP, you hack and iterate fast. You’re

resilient, resourceful, and OK with a bit of chaos. Importantly, you share our

excitement for Revent’s vision – this isn’t just a gig, it’s a mission.

(Preferred) Domain Interest: If you have experience or interest in e-commerce, supply

chain, fintech, or any aspect of electronics/gadget markets, that’s a plus. It’s fine if you’re

new to the domain – as long as you’re eager to learn.

Education: Not a stickler on formal degrees. Computer Science or related

Bachelors/Masters is great, but proven experience and skill are what count. If you’ve

built cool projects or led technical initiatives, tell us!

What We Offer

Founder-Track Position: You’ll be joining the core team. We’re offering a CTO title

from day one, and a clear path to earn a Co-Founder title as we hit milestones together.

If you’ve ever wanted to be a co-founder, this is an opportunity to prove yourself and

become one.

Equity & Upside: Significant stock options/equity grant commensurate with the

importance of this role. We’re prepared to offer a founder-level ownership stake that will

vest over time. Simply put: if you help build Revent into a success, you should share

richly in that success . (Details can be discussed in person, but expect a sizable

percentage, not just perfunctory stock.)

Salary: We will provide a modest base salary to cover living expenses, but if you are

after a big-cash compensation, this won’t be the right fit (at least until we grow or raise

big funding). Our approach is low cash burn, high equity. The upside is that your equity

could be worth far more than a market salary if we execute well. We want someone who

finds that trade-off exciting, not scary.

Remote & Flexible Work: We are a remote-friendly team. Preferred location is India

(most of our team is here and it keeps time zones easy), but we are open to exceptional

candidates from anywhere. We care about output, not clocking hours at a desk. Work

from wherever you’re most productive. That said, if you’re in Bengaluru or Mumbai (justexamples), that’s awesome – we can occasionally meet in person.

Full-Time Commitment (with Transition Option): This is envisioned as a full-time role.

If you’re currently engaged in something, we can accommodate a transition period

for example, starting part-time for a few weeks or a couple of months – but we will want

you all-in soon because the opportunity and challenges in front of us are big!

Culture: Expect a fast-paced, founder-driven culture . We are candid (sometimes

brutally honest), we challenge each other, and we wear multiple hats. But we also value

work-life balance in the long run and are building a culture of trust, curiosity, and

continuous learning . There’s no corporate BS here – just a small team of people

figuring things out together and trying to create something awesome. If you need a

break, take it; if you need help, ask. We’re in this journey together, through the late-night

coding sessions and the celebratory high-fives when things finally click.

Growth Opportunity: If you join us, you won’t just be an employee; you’ll be an

entrepreneur building a company. You’ll interact closely with the business side, learn how

a startup scales, and have a front-row seat (actually, more like a driver’s seat) to the

entire venture-building process. When the time comes to raise funds or launch major

initiatives, you’ll be a key voice and beneficiary.

Ready to Build the Future with Us? (How to Apply)

If you’ve read this far and your heart is pounding with excitement (or even just curiosity), we

want to talk to you! 🚀 To apply, drop us an email at admin@revent.com with your CV,

LinkedIn, or any links that showcase what you’ve built or been a part of. Even more importantly,

tell us why you’re interested in this role and what makes you excited about building Revent .

Feel free to be candid and real – we certainly have been in this job description.

We’re not looking for a perfectly formatted corporate cover letter; we’re looking for your passion

and fit. If you’re the right person, you probably have questions for us too – don’t hesitate to

reach out.
