Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Key Responsibilities

• Technology Vision and Strategy: Define and execute the technical roadmap for [AI chatbot or product], aligning with company goals; lead innovation in AI/ML, cloud infrastructure, and user-facing features.
• Product Development Leadership: Oversee end-to-end development of [chatbot or platform], including architecture, APIs, and integrations; ensure high performance, scalability, and user experience.
• AI and Innovation: Drive adoption of AI/ML technologies (e.g., NLP for chatbots, generative AI); collaborate with data scientists to enhance features like conversational accuracy or personalization.
• Team Management and Mentorship: Lead and grow engineering teams (e.g., developers, DevOps, AI specialists); foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Infrastructure and Security: Oversee cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) and ensure robust cybersecurity, data privacy (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), and uptime for mission-critical systems.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product Managers, CFO, and marketing teams (e.g., for YouTube Shorts campaigns) to align tech development with monetization and user acquisition goals.
• Technical Innovation and Trends: Stay ahead of 2025 tech trends, including AI orchestration, edge computing, and low-code platforms; evaluate and integrate new tools to enhance product capabilities.
• Performance Metrics and KPIs: Track technical KPIs (e.g., system uptime, latency, API response times) and product metrics (e.g., user engagement, retention); use data to drive iterative improvements.
• Budget and Vendor Management: Manage tech budgets, optimize cloud and licensing costs, and negotiate with vendors for tools like AI APIs or development platforms.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s or PhD in AI/ML, CS, or related areas is a plus.
• Experience: 8-12+ years in technology leadership, with 3+ years as CTO or senior engineering lead in tech, SaaS, or AI companies; proven success scaling products (e.g., 100K+ users or $10M+ ARR).
• Technical Skills: Expertise in software development (Python, JavaScript, etc.), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), and AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch); experience with API-driven architectures and DevOps (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Soft Skills: Strategic leadership, excellent communication for C-suite and board interactions, ability to inspire teams, and strong problem-solving in high-pressure environments.
• Certifications (Preferred): AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional, or certifications in AI/ML (e.g., Coursera Deep Learning Specialization).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building AI-driven products like chatbots or NLP systems.
• Track record of leading teams through product launches, acquisitions, or IPOs.
• Familiarity with SaaS metrics (e.g., ARR, churn) and subscription-based platforms.
• Portfolio showcasing technical innovation (e.g., scaling infrastructure for 50%+ user growth).
