Join a dedicated behavioral health team in San Ysidro, CA where you’ll provide psychiatric care to children and adolescents in a community-focused clinic.   • End Date: Direct Hire
  • Contract Type: Permanent
  • Shift: Days (Mon–Fri, 8 AM–5 PM)
  • Hours/Week: 40

Role Overview: As a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist, you’ll provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and treatment planning for patients in an outpatient clinic. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, respond to crises, and ensure care is delivered with cultural sensitivity and clinical excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychiatric assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Provide medication management and monitor therapeutic progress
  • Collaborate with therapists, case managers, and primary care providers
  • Participate in team meetings, peer reviews, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record
  • Respond to urgent psychiatric needs and provide crisis intervention
  • Educate families and caregivers on mental health conditions and treatment options

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Experience in outpatient community psychiatry preferred; sensitivity to multicultural concerns required
  • Education: M.D. or D.O. with completion of accredited Psychiatric Residency and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship
  • Certifications:
  • Current unrestricted California medical license
  • Active DEA license
  • Board certified or board eligible in child and/or adult psychiatry
  • Language: Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
