Odyssey Family Counseling Center is seeking a compassionate and experienced Full-Time Licensed Clinician to join our Child and Adolescent Services team. The C&A Clinician will provide high-quality, evidence-based mental health services to children and adolescents experiencing emotional, behavioral, and/or substance use challenges both in office and in the school-based setting.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical skills, knowledge of child and adolescent development, and the ability to collaborate effectively with families, schools, and community partners. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive mental health assessments, therapeutic interventions, and case management services tailored to children and adolescents facing a variety of emotional and behavioral challenges. Your expertise will help foster resilience and promote well-being among young individuals and their families. Duties
- Conduct thorough initial assessments and diagnostic evaluations for children and adolescents experiencing mental health issues.
- Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis.
- Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions focused on mental health counseling, child & family counseling, and conflict management.
- Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure safety during acute episodes.
- Engage in case management activities including data collection, treatment coordination, and progress documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Utilize specialized techniques such as motivational interviewing, trauma-informed care (including PTSD care).
- Collaborate with schools, social workers, medical professionals, and community agencies to support overall client care.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation using EHR system - CareLogic.
- Apply skills in addiction counseling when addressing substance use issues impacting mental health or behavior.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Master’s degree in a human services field from an accredited college or university (Required).
- Licensed in the State of Georgia with either associate or full licensure (e.g., APC, LMSW, LPC, LCSW, LMFT).
- Proven experience working with children and adolescents in behavioral health settings inclu
- Strong knowledge of mental health disorders common among youth.
- Familiarity with Medicaid regulations and documentation standards for client records.
- Experience conducting diagnostic evaluations within a clinical setting.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging children, families, schools, and multidisciplinary teams effectively.
- Bilingual in Spanish/English is a plus.
