Child and Adolescent Therapist

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated child and adolescent therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in child development and various therapeutic practices, as well as a commitment to improving the mental health and well-being of clients. This role involves working with children, adolescents, young adults, and families to provide support, guidance, and treatment tailored to their unique needs.

Duties

• Conduct clinical interviewing and baseline assessments to determine clients' needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide therapy sessions utilizing various modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy, parent coaching, and crisis management techniques.
• Facilitate child family counseling sessions to support family dynamics and improve communication.
• Collect and analyze data to track client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with other professionals in educational, social work, and mental health fields to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
• Maintain accurate records of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with confidentiality regulations.

Qualifications

• Master’s, Educational Specialist, or Doctoral Degree in Psychology or Social Work is required.
• Valid licensure or certification as a therapist in Michigan.
• Experience in special education or working with children is preferred.
• Strong understanding of behavioral and cognitive behavioral therapy techniques and crisis management strategies.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Proficient in data collection methods for tracking client progress.
• A passion for helping others achieve their mental health goals through effective therapeutic interventions.

Pay: $25.00 - $45.00 per hour
