Child and Adolescent Therapist

Arden Shores Counseling is a small private practice group dedicated to providing compassionate mental health services to clients of all ages and demographics. We're committed to supporting our staff and encourage a healthy work-life balance.

We are currently seeking a self-motivated, diligent, and ethical therapist who is passionate about working with children and teens. The ideal candidate will have a growth mindset, an interest in trauma-informed care, and experience in child-focused modalities such as play, art, expressive arts, or sand tray therapy. While the primary focus is on younger populations, there is also the option to work with adults, couples, or families.

Key responsibilities include:

- Conducting individual psychotherapy and diagnostic assessments.
- Developing treatment plans and maintaining timely clinical notes and billing.
- Managing patient data and verifying insurance.

This is an office-based position offering both in-person and telehealth sessions during daytime hours (Monday–Friday, 8 am–6 pm), with some scheduling flexibility. A full-time caseload consists of 30–35 clients, averaging 20–24 sessions per week.

We offer a W-2 position with percentage-based pay, full healthcare benefits, and sick leave. Our team benefits from weekly consultations, and we provide BBHT supervision for pre-licensed practitioners as well as RPT play therapy supervision. Additionally, we offer EMDR training and ongoing support for its application across all age groups.

Requirements:

- Master’s degree or higher in Counseling Psychology, Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy.
- Current Minnesota licensure- LPCC, LPC, LMFT, LICSW, or LP. Pre-licensed LPC/LPCC practitioners will also be considered.
