Child and Family Mental Health Counselor

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Professional Counselor Associates, Marriage and Family Therapist Associates, and Licensed Mental Health Counselors to join our expanding team. We have a need for a clinician who can see children, teens and families. This is a private group practice with lots of flexibility and support. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals facing mental health challenges, assisting them in their recovery journey. You will work closely with clinical staff to implement treatment plans and ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients. A desire to work with kids and adolescents is a plus. Opportunity to work toward licensure for Registered Associates as well as earn a Registered Play Therapist Certificate as well. This position will be in office for Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays with option to add an extra afternoon/early evening shift on another day. Some hybrid possibilities as well.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans for clients.
  • Provide mental health counseling to clients in a group private practice setting.
  • Conduct regular observations and document client behavior and progress.
  • Provide support during therapeutic sessions and group sessions.
  • Maintain a safe and supportive environment by adhering to safety protocols and crisis management strategies.
  • Participate in training sessions related to behavioral health practices and clinical research methodologies.
  • Support outpatient services, including telehealth initiatives when applicable.
  • Utilize knowledge of ICD-10 coding for documentation purposes.

Qualifications

  • A background in behavioral health or related fields is preferred.
  • Familiarity with clinical counseling techniques and child family counseling is a necessity.
  • Experience or training in crisis management is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of telehealth practices is beneficial.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective documentation and reporting.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Pay: $50.00 - $80.00 per hour
