Child Care Aide – Your Child’s Place (YCP)

We’re looking for an energetic, compassionate, and playful Child Care Aide (CCA) to join our Your Child’s Place (YCP) team! As a CCA, you’ll help provide a nurturing, supportive, and creative environment for children while assisting them in reaching their developmental milestones.

What You’ll Do:

• • Supervise and engage with infants and children throughout the day
  • Provide direct care including diaper changes, toileting, feeding, and personal care
  • Implement fun, interactive lesson plans and daily activities
  • Keep parents in the loop with regular communication
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and joyful environment
  • Attend ongoing trainings (on us!) to help you grow professionally
  • Be a positive role model every day!

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• At least 2 years (2,500 hours) of documented experience working with children—babysitting counts!

• Must meet the minimum DHS qualification of Assistant Group Supervisor.

• Experience leading or developing group/classroom activities is strongly preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift, turn, and move objects up to 30 lbs independently; for anything over 30 lbs, you’ll have assistance.

• Able to stand, walk, and move freely for extended periods of time.

• Quick to respond in case of emergencies.

• Physically capable of assisting in the safe management of children.

• Willing and able to participate in activities requiring:
  Running, Walking, Kneeling, Lifting, Squatting, Reaching, and more.

• Normal range of hearing and vision required.

Other Requirements:

• Must submit applications for the following clearances prior to employment:

  • PA State Police Criminal Clearance

  • PA Child Abuse History Clearance

  • FBI Clearance through the Department of Human Services

  • National Sex Offender Registry Clearance

  • (If applicable) Department of Aging FBI Clearance for those new to PA in the last 5 years.

• Must sign a Criminal History & Child Abuse Disclosure Statement upon hire.

• Clearances must be renewed every 5 years.

• If you’ve lived outside PA in the last 5 years, clearances from those states are also required before employment.

• Submit a health assessment upon hire and every two years thereafter.

• Provide Mantoux Tuberculin skin test results upon hire and annually.

• Obtain and maintain Child CPR Certification.
