Child Care Aide

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Complete a 3 hour orientation training

'Responsibilities

• Supervises and ensures the safety and well-being of the children at all times, being alert for the needs and/or problems of the children as individuals and as a group
• May assume temporary responsibilities of the teacher in the teacher's absence
• Assists with the daily reports, time logs, and incident reports
• Demonstrates commitment to center's philosophy and goals
• Follows all rules and regulations of the center, and complies with applicable regulations pertaining to the MSDE/OCC
• Other duties as assigned
• Attend to the physical needs of the children
• Nurture and promote the educational needs of children
• Establish positive and productive relationships with families
• Ensure the cleanliness
• Maintain a commitment to professionalism
