Child Care Assistant

Overview
Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Child Care Assistant, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help foster a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment for young children. In this role, you will support the development and well-being of children across various age groups, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Duties

  • Assist lead teachers and caregivers in implementing daily activities that promote childhood development and learning.
  • Provide attentive care to toddlers, and preschool-aged children, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
  • Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and helping children develop social skills through engaging activities.
  • Help with diapering, feeding, nap times, and hygiene routines in accordance with health and safety standards.
  • Engage children in age-appropriate play, educational activities, and creative projects that stimulate curiosity and cognitive growth.
  • Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment by sanitizing toys, surfaces, and learning materials regularly.
  • Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, needs, and daily experiences.

Experience

  • Prior experience working with children in daycare settings, babysitting, nannying, or classroom environments is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices.
  • Certification in first aid and CPR is required to ensure immediate response to emergencies.
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a valuable asset.
  • Familiarity with behavior management techniques to foster positive interactions among children.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple responsibilities with patience, enthusiasm, and professionalism.
