Child Care Assistant

Serve as an individual responsible for assisting the lead teacher and helping throughout the
center as needed. Individual must have a strong understanding of children’s cognitive,
social, emotional, and physical development in order to ensure a safe and stimulating
classroom environment where children are actively engaged and encouraged to succeed.
Must be efficient at supervising children and ensuring the safety and well-being of the
children. Ensure children’s routines are carried out in a prompt, hygienic, and consistent
manner while operating classrooms in a manner that complies with all state licensing
regulations. Provide students with a safe, secure, and fun learning environment where they
can learn, explore, create and grow while also providing positive guidance to help children
develop self-help skills. Must contribute to the operation of the center by participating in
staff meetings and training. Must be 18 years or older and meet the requirements regarding
a background check.
